The passing of Donald Allan "Don" Burchill, husband of Cathy (Durelle) Burchill, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on August 2, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmer's Regional Hospital.  Born on September 3, 1961 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Merv and Juanita Burchill and the late Diana Howe.  Don was a manager of ISTS Telav, Fredericton branch.  He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church and enjoyed car racing, gardening, golfing, fishing and was a big movie buff.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by two sons, Adam Burchill of Hamilton, ON and Brandon Burchill of Fredericton; one daughter Amanda Burchill (Cory Arbeau) of Fredericton; three sisters, Wendy (Peter) Seymour of Fredericton; Kelly (Aaron) Little of Fredericton and Alyson Burchill (Yebel Martinez) of Boston Mass; paternal grandmother, Verna Burchill; several aunts and uncles; special friends and family, Ron Durelle, Barb Burnett and Bob and Heather Durelle. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Alice Howe and paternal grandfather Omar Burchill.

A funeral service was held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Saturday, August 5, 2006 with Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. Pallbearers were George Noble, Aubrey Ward, Mitch Greencorn, Scott Mullin, Bryan White and Hugh Kincade. Honorary Pallbearers were James Nowlan, Doug Sutherland, Andy Currie and Kerri Atkinson. Internment took place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
