Truck Series : Clarence wins his 2nd truck race of the season.

Adam Wyatt put his Budwieser truck on the pole with a qualifying lap of 31.254 seconds.

The race got off to a clean start but the #33, #17 & #53 fell back from the front runners early and were running together as a pack. On lap 19 they came upon the lone truck of Paul Paulin. Rog Hurley went low under the #99 out of of turn 2, followed by Jim MacLeod and Vince MacDonald. Rumor is that #99's spotter was eating ice cream at the time. Paul Paulin explained that he didn't know that the #53 was behind the #17 after he cut low into MacDonald and sent him into the inside wall. The race stayed green as the #53 saved it and returned to the track.

Cup Series : SULEY BACK IN VICTORY LANE AT LAS VEGAS

With Roger Hurley #33 in the Via Rail Chevrolet on the pole for the third consecutive week, it was an electrifying one at Las Vegas Motor Speedway as fans saw a total of 9 cautions throughout the night. The flagman was kept busy as the first yellow was already out when the #85 of Mike McCullough spun into the infield coming out of turn 4 on lap 2.

On the restart on lap 7, bad luck continues for the Dairy Queen sponsored #28 Ford driven by Clarence Robinson as its engine lets go exiting turn 3.

On lap 25, the #88 of Jon Storey got loose in front of the unlucky Dale MacDonald in the #43 Home Hardware Chevrolet. When MacDonald wowed up to let Storey get it back in line, the #57 of Jeff Gilmore hit him in the back pushing him forward into Storey. All three cars ended-up in the outside wall bringing out the third yellow of the night.

On lap 30, Gilmore spins after suffering damage on lap 25. Then on the restart on lap 33, the #97 of Adam Wyatt spun the tires which slowed the whole field down and caused a chain reaction pile up at the tail end of the line. The #1 of Bryan White was involved including Gilmore and Dale MacDonald.

On lap 47, the #12 of Rick Rans blew up which brought his car to a complete stop on the bottom of turn 2 bringing out the yellow.

On the restart on lap 51, the #20 Dodge Charger of Martin Landry got loose coming out of turn 4 and as soon that he had it straightened out, the #98 Pizza Hut sponsored Ford Fusion driven by Jared Meade, with nowhere to go, tapped Landry spinning them both into the infield grass. Both cars suffered no damage and were able to continue at full strength. Unfortunately, Ray Scott in the #13 hit the brakes, to avoid the spinning Landry and Meade, and Gilmore got into the back of him. Scott as a result ended-up nose first in the outside wall hard.

It was on lap 56 that the fans saw “the big one” with a total of 10 cars involved. It all started when the #8 of Peter Seymour and the #97 of Wyatt both got loose at the exact same time and got together. The cars that were involved in the wreck are the #88 of Storey, the #85 of McCullough, the #98 of Meade, the pole sitter Hurley, the #17 of Jim MacLeod, the #43 of MacDonald, the unfortunate #1 of White and defending champ Paul Paulin in the #99.

On lap 65, Meade gets cornered behind the #1 of White who was off the pace and the #53 of Vince MacDonald gets into the back of him. Meade suffered severe front damage but was able to finish the race. This was the last caution of the night.

The final 10 laps were full of excitement and saw some good hard racing throughout the field. The #14 of Darnell Godin was at the point with the pole sitter of Hurley right on his tail in 2nd, Landry was in 3rd. The front runners didn’t take the risk to come in for some new rubber but André Suley did in his #52 Rickard’s White Chevrolet and in no time, he was right on Landry back bumper. He both passed Landry and Godin and reeled in Hurley before the drop of the white flag. As the white flag dropped, Hurley and Suley made a little contact under the flag stand which got Hurley loose, putting him in the wall. Suley then without difficulty drove away with the win. Godin who was having a strong run, holding on to the 2nd place hardware after last week’s hard luck, got spun entering turn 4 by Landry. Landry drove in too deep under Godin and just couldn’t hold on to it. Fortunately, Godin bounced off the wall several times but managed to keep it in line and finish in 8th place. Landry brought home his first top 5 of the season with his strong 2nd place finish and the pole sitter Roger Hurley stays on top of the series standings by finishing in 3rd. Wyatt and Vince MacDonald complete the top 5 respectively.

Truck Series : HURLEY COMPLETES THE SWEEP AT CALIFORNIA

After running two wide for most of the truck race at Daytona, racers had to use all of the alloted practice time to get their trucks to handle the tricky turns of Auto Club Speedway.

Rog Hurley showed everybody that his #33 Via Rail Chevy was ready by grabbing the pole with a time of 41.539 secs.

The race got off to a clean start but the first incident occured when Mike McCullough got his #85 fire truck loose coming out of turn 2 and slid into the inside wall. He managed to save it and got back on the track without bringing out a caution.

The crowd saw some good racing until the first caution came out on lap 27. Jon Storey in the #88 got loose out of turn 2 and went backwards into the inside wall.

During the restart on lap 33, Jeff Gilmore blows up his #57 Chevy on the front stretch before taking the green flag.

There was close racing up front for the next 13 laps until Jon Storey blew up his #88 Chevy on lap 46.

The fans in the grandstands were treated to some excitement on lap 51, when Darnell Godin in his unsponsored #315 truck got loose coming out of turn 4. This caused all the trucks behind him to check up and get into each other. Peter Seymour got into the spinning #315 and slid up in front of the #97 driven by Adam Wyatt. Adam bounced off of the outside wall and went down the track into Clarence Robinson driving the #28. While trying to avoid the spinning trucks, Vince MacDonald got his #53 Sunbury Ford into the side the #1Chevy of Bryan White. Mike McCullough managed to get through the mess without a scratch.

After getting tires, gas and repairs the race restarted on lap 55, but the caution came out quickly when Mike McCullough got loose and spun his #85 Chevy in front of everyone. Mike got hit by the #28 while he was spinning. Bryan White went low to avoid the wreck but his race was over when he spun out and slid backwads into the barrels at the entrance to pit road.

The caution flag came out shortly after the race restarted when Jim MacLeod got loose coming out of tricky turn 2. Jim saved it but Dale MacDonald went high to avoid the #17 and end up getting his #43 Victoria Secret Chevy into the side of Peter Seymour in the #8. Peter Seymour bounced off the wall and continued but then Dale spun around in front of everyone.

The race restarted on lap 64 but the yellow flag came out quickly when the #8 of Peter Seymour got loose coming out of turn 2 on lap 65. Peter ended up sliding into the #97 Budweiser Toyota of Adam Wyatt. This caused the 'BIG ONE'. Rick Rans and Clarence Robinson caught some major air. Vince MacDonald rode the fencing. Only the #43 and #85 managed to clear the wrecking trucks.
